ANGELA HAGENBACH is one of those rare jazz vocalists who finds more in a song than the composer penned. Johnny Mandel said it best, "Angela Hagenbach sings with perfect taste and sounds like no one else." A Kansas City business woman, owner of AH Entertainment, Inc., Eden's Gate Music and Amazon Records®, she has produced and released multiple recordings and is a published songwriter. Two of her compositions are featured in Last Will, a 2010 film release starring Tatum O'Neal, James Brolin and Tom Berenger. She has worked and recorded with Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Frank Foster, Russell Malone and others. Ms. Hagenbach is listed as one of The 521 Great Jazz Singers in jazz historian, Scott Yanow's 2008 publication, The Jazz Singers~The Ultimate Guide. Angela's lush contralto voice covers nearly three-octaves with clarity and effortless agility. She has presented workshops and lecture/demonstrations in numerous settings, from the AT&T Corporation to colleges and communities spanning five continents as a Cultural Jazz Ambassador under the auspices of the U.S. State Department and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.



PAMELA BASKIN-WATSON is a multi-faceted pianist, vocalist, published composer-arranger and educator. She honed her skills in New York City where she established a notable reputation as a freelance accompanist in demand for her high level of musicianship and ability to play many styles. As an educator, she taught at the notable Harlem School of the Arts where she founded and directed the Vocal Jazz program. As a composer/arranger, she has works recorded by such notable jazz musicians as Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, vocalists Betty Carter and Kevin Mahogany, saxophonist Bobby Watson, trumpeter Roy Hargrove, and pianist James Williams. She has written a musical theater work entitled The Meetin', which is based on a Langston Hughes short story entitled Mother and Child. The work was commissioned by Opera Ebony of New York City. It premiered in November of 1998 and was performed again in August of 2001. Since moving back to the Midwest, Ms. Watson continues her work as accompanist/vocalist/educator.


NEDRA DIXON, classically trained lyric soprano and currently, “Featured Vocalist” on 12th STREET JUMP, Kansas City, MO’s NPR affiliated weekly broadcast jazz radio show, is what is traditionally known as a “triple threat” performer (actor/singer/dancer) and a director/choreographer. She has received critical acclaim in venues from Broadway and Off-Broadway, to the concert stage (Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden), and in New York, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles cabaret hotspots. She has shared the stage with such eclectic artists as Kristin Chenoweth and Mikhail Baryshnikov to Meat Loaf and has worked with noted theater industry powerhouses including Stephen Schwartz, Ricardo Khan, John Caird, Susan Stroman, Jerry Zaks, Luther Henderson and Charles Strouse. It has been her honor to perform at the White House, twice, during the Ford administration and at the Kennedy Center Honors event in the year that Eubie Blake was celebrated for his life-long contributions to the world of music. As a Guest Artist-in-Residence on several university campuses, she has taught classes in Musical Theatre Voice, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre Audition Techniques, Acting and she is listed in the 2004 edition of Who's Who in American Higher Education. Ms. Dixon has recently launched a new business, Music for Aardvarks and Other Mammals, a pre-school music experience for kids and their grown-ups.
